Hello! Yes, this is the first post in this blog. You are welcome here.
I started this blog as my personal (as compared to company), english (as compared to my german) notebook. I tried mixing german and english entries in the past, but that does not work out so well. Mainly it was me who was confused about the right language to chose.
So, here I want to talk about what occupies that gray matter of mine. Black thoughts? No no. Black arts? Maybe. Pure, refreshing stuff for the brain? Definitely! And no sweeteners, please.
The thing about coffee is that we do not drink it because we are thirsty. We drink it because of the effects it has on our mental state. We find the effect pleasing and, as long as our stomachs can handle it, there seem to be no ill side effects. How wonderful!
Why do we like this mind-affecting property so much? (I am deducing that by the amount of coffee consumed worldwide, it is not only me who finds this pleasant.) Maybe it alters our thinking just that tiny bit that we can see things from a different perspective, break our thought loops and makes the world a richer place.
As Rudy Rucker wrote: "When I am depressed, the world always seems so simple and boring." Yet it is rich and what he likes to call gnarly.
