growl and vienna
First of all Growl is fantastic! Recommended for every Mac user. Superb user experience.

Now I just need a way to send growl events from a linux client...
The other nice download of the day is Vienna, which is a nice freeware rss/atom reader. Works nicely together with growl. I good alternative to NetNewsWire Lite.
